Vanessa Hudgens [3] hit a post-fashion week event in New York City with her friend and former co-star, Ashley Benson. The two actresses coordinated their monochromatic, Y2K-inspired outfits — Benson chose a mini dress with a lengthy slit, while Hudgens went for a Sporty Spice vibe in a black bandeau top and high-waisted ruched skirt. To complete the look, Hudgens paired a gold pendant necklace and chunky platform boots with the all-black ensemble.
Hudgens herself explained her sartorial inspiration, posting a close-up pic on Instagram and writing, "Spice up your lifeeeee." The 33-year-old was in New York City celebrating her partnership with Thomas Ashbourne, a spirits company that she, Benson, and Rosario Dawson worked with to create a margarita line. In addition to this stylish appearance, Hudgens recently hit the front row [4] of Michael Kors' Spring 2023 runway show in a black catsuit, and appeared on the cover [5] of Nylon magazine wearing several Barbiecore-inspired outfits.
Hudgens has been leaning into many retro looks as of late. She recently wore an '80s-inspired turtleneck thongkini [6] for a Caliwater photoshoot, the early-aughts favourite of crystal-covered beach slides [7] while on holiday last month in Italy, and a '70s-esque one-shoulder feather-trimmed gown [8] on that same holiday.
