There are trends, and then there are trends. The latter, of course, are the runway-ready pieces that not only immediately make their way into street style looks all over the world, but also become a true wardrobe essential that is instantly entered into the current fashion lexicon. As we look ahead to Spring, there are already a handful of such staples that we're already shopping on the regular, chomping at the bit to integrate into our everyday uniforms. There are bags, dresses, prints, and earrings, all ripe for the picking.

This Spring, we're expanding our "essentials" vocabulary past the classic white T-shirt and go-to leather jacket (though those will always be staples, if we have anything to say about it!), and exploring 1960s-inspired florals, oversized bags, corseted tops, and more.

Floral Earrings

Go big or go home when it comes to your earrings this Spring. And, while you're at it, get in the seasonal spirit with some floral baubles hanging from each ear. We are particular fans of the overblown studs—to style with everything from jeans and a T-shirt to a cocktail dress for a special night out.

Corseted Tops

Tops are more structured and less covered for Spring as we look towards Victorian-inspired trends, like bustier and corseted tops. That could mean a simple underwire detail or full-blown boning. No matter what you choose, you're sure to feel like a modern-day Marie Antoinette.

1960s Floral Dresses

Florals are certainly not groundbreaking for Spring, but this time around, we're opting for patterns of the more vintage variety. Look to the 1960s for inspiration, with bright pinks and oranges; teal and green graphics; and prints that give an overall flower child vibe.

Preppy Loafers

If you buy one pair of shoes this Spring, make it a pair of preppy loafers. The Upper East Side favourite is coming back with fervour and it's time to stock up. In all materials, colours, and the like, the sky's the limit when it comes to your structured kicks.
