Whether you have a Zoom interview set up because of social distancing or it's just the next phase in your hiring process, you may find yourself wondering what to wear for a virtual call. If this is the first time you're meeting an associate or colleague through the screen, you'll want to make yourself appear particularly presentable and also memorable. If only for the length of the interview, there's something about stepping into a comfortable flat or polished block-heel that will make you feel elevated. Chances are, your interviewer is not going to ask you what's on your feet, unless your intended career path is with a footwear company. But giving yourself a little boost by wearing a pretty shoe definitely won't hurt your mood — or your outfit.

You should do what feels most comfortable, of course, but if you want to draw attention to your face, try out the preppy, buttoned-up look in front of your mirror before the interview and see how it makes you feel. If you feel that you appear more polished, go with it! But if you feel stuffy and it doesn't speak to your personal style, try something else.
