Yara Shahidi Exudes Elegance in a Met Gala Look Inspired by Josephine Baker

Yara Shahidi honoured an icon in her third appearance at the Met Gala. The actress and Grown-ish star wore an elegant 1920s look she said was inspired by Jazz Age entertainer and civil rights activist Josephine Baker.
Designed by Dior, the all-beige outfit consisted of a strapless beaded floor-length dress with pockets (!), which was paired with matching elbow-length gloves and a skinny satin belt. For her jewellery, Shahidi wore a diamond necklace with striking yellow diamonds sprinkled throughout. Her headpiece had a similar diamond motif, and it was paired with a floor-length veil in the same colour as her dress. See photos of the timeless look ahead.
