Arms aren't just for hugging: they open heavy doors on your morning commute, hold boxes and loads of laundry, and pick up your heavy toddler (or dog). Whether or not you love your biceps [1] and triceps, working on them is a good idea simply because of everything they do for you in your day-to-day life.

Plus, we've got good news: a gym membership isn't a requirement, and we'll prove it. The following YouTube videos will burn your arms in 10 minutes or less (just think: doing laundry or commuting takes way longer). All you'll need is a pair of dumbbells — here's how to choose the right weight [2] — and that awesome smile of yours (because we know). We've also included one bodyweight workout under 10 minutes. 10-Minute Workout For the "Ultimate Arms"

This workout, led by Class FitSugar [5] host Anna Renderer, features horizontal bicep curls (with a lunge!), push-up and rotate [6], as well as triceps kickbacks [7]. You'll just need light- to medium-sized weights and an exercise mat (if you're not in a carpeted area).

10-Minute Arm Supersets with Dumbbells

When you stack exercises one right after the other, that's called a superset. This 10-minute arm workout features nonstop moves like wide-arm push-ups, triceps extensions [8], and push-up pike presses [9].

10-Minute Tank Top Arms Workout

You'll need medium and light dumbbells (five and 10 pounds, for example) to perform moves like bent over row [11] and bicep curl overhead press [12]. 10-Minute Upper Body Workout With a Little Bit Extra

10-Minutes Barre Arm Workout

For this barre arm workout, personal trainer Action Jacquelyn (certified in mat and reformer Pilates, barre, and Kundalini yoga [17]) uses three-pound weights, but she said you can do your exercises without dumbbells, too. If you want a challenge, she suggests using up to five pounds.
