On the most recent Phit Talks (where Halle and her trainer Peter answer questions), someone asked Halle if she has a daily caloric intake goal. "I never count calories. Ever, ever, ever, ever, never. I don't weigh myself and I don't count calories," she answered. "I think that's what gets me spinning out of control, when I start trying to count calories and measure food and weigh myself every day," she added. Instead, Halle said she eats healthy (here's a look at what she eats on the keto diet), "and as long as I feel good in my body, who cares what I weigh? It's about feeling good — for me," she emphasised.
Although Halle and Peter choose not to count calories, they do recommend everyone learn the basics of nutrition. "I think learn about caloric intake, learn about how much you should eat — get that in your mind visually and then strive to do that every day. But to sit and count the calories, I think is like mind-bending and maddening, at least for me," she said.
