A Chef Tells Us Her Favorite (and Healthy!) 15-Minute 4-Ingredient Pasta Dish


Weeknights can be a hectic time. You get home from work late, and you're exhausted from the long day. You're probably hungry too, but it can feel impossible to actually cook yourself a healthy, tasty meal. Don't worry — Dani Kump, seasoned chef and artist, has got you covered.

At the Nine For Women Wellness retreat, Dani told POPSUGAR that her favourite 15-minute pasta dish is cacio e pepe, which means "cheese and pepper" in Italian. All you need is spaghetti (you can use brown rice pasta or Banza chickpea pasta for a healthier spin), butter (or olive oil if you prefer), pepper, and Parmesan cheese. While the traditional recipe calls for a lot of butter and cheese, you can lighten the dish up by using a lighter hand when it comes to these ingredients.

"Dry the pan, heat it up, and add pepper until you really smell it," Dani instructed. At the same time, get some water boiling in a pot for your spaghetti. "When the water is boiling, brown the butter in the pan," she continued. When the spaghetti is done cooking, drain it, "put it into the pan, and mix it up and toss with Parmesan."

Dani recommends a simple salad on the side to make it a complete meal. And just like that, in around 15 minutes, you've got a homemade dinner that will help you feel satiated and satisfied. Finally, don't forget to make it look pretty! "You eat with your eyes first," she reminded us.
