Treat Yourself to These Guilt-Free Chocolate "Hobnob" Biscuit Sandwiches

As hard as you try to keep your cravings at bay, sometimes the urge to snack is too strong to resist. And it's OK to allow yourself a little treat as long as it doesn't derail your healthy diet. If you've got a sweet tooth and have already tried our chocolate and almond protein bars or chocolate-covered banana bites, you'll love these dense sandwich biscuits that are easy to make and guaranteed to satisfy those cravings.

Chocolate "Hobnob" Biscuit Sandwich

Healthy, Low-Calorie Chocolate-Covered Biscuit Recipe

Ingredients

  1. 20 g vanilla whey
    30 g oat flour
    10 ml coconut oil, melted
    10 ml agave syrup
    Pinch baking powder and sea salt
    7 teaspoons Prutella (MuscleFood.com's low-calorie alternative to Nutella)
  1. For topping
    35 g 75-percent chocolate
    1/8 teaspoon coconut oil

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Combine the dry ingredients. Add the melted coconut oil and the agave. Mix it up and rub together until it forms a crumble-like mix.
  • Get small-shaped silicone moulds. Use 5 g of this mix to fill 14 holes. Press the mix down until firm. Bake for 8 minutes or until golden. Allow to cool.
  • Use the Prutella to sandwich them together to make 7 sandwiched biscuits.
  • Pop in the freezer until cold.
  • Meanwhile, melt the chocolate and stir in the coconut oil (optional but makes coating easier).
  • Dunk the chilled sandwich biscuits in the chocolate to give a thin coating. For a thicker coating, melt more chocolate. Allow to set in the freezer or fridge.
