The definition that is apparent from her quads all the way down to her calves. The four muscles that make up your quadriceps are the vastus lateralis, vastus medialis, vastus intermedius, and the rectus femoris. They start at the top of your pelvis and thighbone, then come together in a tendon surrounding the kneecap and attach to your shinbone.

Taking up a majority of your leg muscles, the quadriceps are not only nice to look at, but are an essential muscle group used in everyday activities like running [3]. A great way to train your quads is by doing single-leg leg extensions.

Here's how to do it:
