How to Do Skull Crushers

Tone and Sculpt Your Triceps With This Intense Dumbbell Exercise

Ready to feel stronger, sexier, and more confident? This badass move is called a skull crusher, and it's every bit as empowering as it sounds. The best part: you don't even have to get up from the ground! Think of it like a triceps extension, but while you're lying down. Check it out:

  • Grab a set of three- to 10-pound dumbbells and lie on a bench or the floor.
  • Hold a dumbbell in each hand, and bring your hands by your ears so your elbows are pointing straight up at the ceiling.
  • Inhale, and straighten your arms by lifting your hands up.
  • As you exhale, slowly lower the dumbbells back down toward your ears, but be sure to keep your elbows directly above your shoulders in order to target your triceps.
  • This completes one rep.
