Nothing compares to a soft, warm, chewy bagel! If you are watching your intake of calories or carbs [3], keep these tips in mind from a nutritionist. Instead of going for a full-sized bagel, see if they make minis, or just eat half and share the half with a friend. You can also ask for half the cream cheese, or ask them to scoop the squishy bread out from inside [4] before smearing on your spread. This will save you a good chunk of calories.

And instead of cream cheese, try lower-calorie hummus instead. Ordering a whole wheat bagel can also increase the fibre, which will satiate your hunger longer, which is great if you're trying to lose weight [6].
