Doing crunches every day in the gym can become extremely boring — not to mention the fact that they aren't good for you back [3]. Instead, consider a challenging core workout like the one Kelsey Wells [4], NASM-certified trainer, recently shared on her Instagram.
This workout won't take long to do, and you'll definitely feel your core working (and shaking) after the first round. If you're ready to upgrade your ab workout, continue reading.
The Ab Workout
In her Instagram caption, Kelsey said, "Perform all exercises continuously," followed by one minute of rest. Repeat for a total of four to five rounds.
- Half Burpee [6]: 12 reps
- X-plank [7]: 20 reps
- Fitball tuck [8]: 10 reps
- Fitball pike [9]: 10 reps
- Bear crawl [10]: 20 reps
- Bent leg raise and hip lift [11]: 8 reps
