Kourtney Kardashian Diet and Exercise

Kourtney Kardashian's VERY Strict Morning Routine Is How She Stays in Such Incredible Shape

She's a mother of three with an ever-evolving career and a smoking hot 24-year-old boyfriend, so, how the hell does 39-year-old Kourtney Kardashian do it? It's a question we've been wondering forever, and we've realised it's a combination of intense workouts and a very strict all-natural diet. After years of avoiding gluten and dairy, she's recently introduced the food groups back into her life in "small amounts."

According to E! News, she realised she needed to have more balance in her diet after splurging during vacations. "That wasn't making sense for me anymore," she said. "I don't want to throw my body off by eating whatever I want when I travel and then be really strict other times."

But don't get it twisted — even though she'll be eating dairy and gluten "in moderation," she does not want to call it a "cheat" meal or anything of that sort because of the negative connotation, "which doesn't make sense for all the hard work and healthy eating I do most of the time." Point taken, indulging occasionally is absolutely OK, and it can even metabolically help with weight loss.

Kourtney's obsession with a healthy lifestyle has been documented on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and she's even been open about her experience with the keto diet, but here's what goes into the gorgeous mom-of-three's routine.

Exercise

According to the website, Kourtney works out at least five days a week and she starts with a strict morning routine. "Most days she'll warm up with a quick run or a jump rope session before leaping into strength training," E! reports. "Some days that means using a stair master or Pilates reformer, but she also has a series of go-to exercises that involve less intense equipment such as leg kick-backs using a resistance band (a move she says she swears by for toned glutes) and weighted squat cleans using a kettlebell or sandbag."

She sticks to the buddy system with younger sister and new mom Khloé, each holding one another accountable and pushing the other during their gym sessions. The best part is, Kourtney won't stop working out while on holiday. She'll make it a point to integrate beach walks and equipment-free exercises like "lunges, tricep [sic] dips, push-ups, and endless squats."

Diet

Kourtney avoids all sugars, and while discussing her keto diet last month, she revealed that apple cider vinegar was the key to curbing sugar cravings. Just 20 minutes after waking up, she'll start her day with a mixture of water and one tablespoon of ACV, and another tablespoon before dinner. But before the ACV, she'll take collagen supplements. After a vegan probiotic shot and some healthy fats like avocado pudding, she's ready for the workout.

For lunch, Kourtney will stick to her greens and protein, typically a salad with chicken or salmon. Kourtney explained on her website that for snacks, she'll munch on "fresh vegetables with avocado hummus, raw almonds, or a bit of fresh fruit." And for dinner, things are usually a bit light. "I love fresh, simple soups made with asparagus, sweet potatoes, or beets," she shared, adding that "it's really important to have something sweet." Because dessert should always be an option!
