We've all been there, walking into the gym with your workout clothes on and an upbeat playlist blaring through your headphones, all accompanied by a sinking feeling of demotivation. While many of us keep those down-moments off our social feeds, Leslie Jones has taken to her Instagram to share her relatable feelings of discouragement.

The popular comedian [3], who's just joined NBC as a correspondent for the Winter Olympics [4] captioned a recent gym selfie with a vulnerable message stating, "Ok back to cardio. But confession I feel like I'm doing it for nothing. I know [it's] not I'm healthy and look good but I really feel like "what's it all for" if the people you want to notice don't. I just feel like I might die alone. Sorry that's pretty heavy today!!"

While it's perfectly normal to feel down and maybe even power through the feeling while working out to get the feel-good, endorphin-boost at the end [5], Leslie's vulnerable post touched a nerve for many of her fans who took to social media to remind her of why she's doing it. The flood of supportive messages thrown Leslie's way are a great reminder that no time spent putting yourself and your health first, is time wasted.
If you're feeling demotivated in your efforts to get fit and healthy, read on for 7 messages of support that will speak to your soul.

GIRL. Do it for yourself. Do it and feel good for yourself. You're a QUEEN and you don't need anyone's validation to prove it otherwise.

Thank you for sharing this and being real. You're letting tons of people see that we ALL have the same recurring thoughts and issues. That aside, you're a goddess and an inspiration! ❤️

Girl the most important thing is for you to do it because it makes YOU feel good!! If people don't notice and respect that, they are not worthy of your attention. Keep going 👑💪👊

You're allowed to feel emotional. But remember, the most important thing is NOT doing this for anyone else but yourself. Because when you are happy, you will become like a magnet, attracting what you need. By the way, you amaze me each and every time I see you do anything.

I know how you feel. If I can be a cheerleader at all, I think it's about feeling healthy and YOU being the one who likes how you look, not another. Work out for your eyes, not anybody else. That was the mind change I had to go through too.

Do it for you. Not for anyone else. If you feel good, mentally and physically afterwards, then it's worth it. Don't over do it or over think it. You're doing great 👍🏻
