We all know how hard meal prep can be in real life, no matter how simple it looks on Instagram. But Dani Kump, seasoned chef and artist, who I spoke with at the Nine For Women Wellness Retreat, shared with POPSUGAR one simple tip that will make your Sunday meal prep way easier. When you get home from your big round of grocery shopping, rather than just tossing your vegetables as they are into the fridge, Dani recommends you "get things into containers in a timely manner."
That means you wash the lettuce, remove it from the bulb, and layer it in tupperware. Cut off the roots of your radishes and broccoli and stack it nicely in a container. Chop up your carrots so they're ready to go whenever you need them during the week. "If it just goes into the crisper, it's going to die," Dani said, half jokingly. She also suggests you layer your different vegetables in a big container with paper towels in between. Not only does this make your tupperware look pretty, but it will give you easy access to eat fresh produce throughout the week.
So don't be afraid to put the extra few minutes into your meal prep, because it'll pay off in the long run! You won't waste vegetables, you'll eat more fresh produce all week, and you might get yourself one step closer to weight loss.
