Nike Pegasus 36 Review

I'm a Runner, and This Is the Supportive and Lightweight Running Shoe I'm Obsessed With

For as long as I can remember, I've been running. I'd race my dad from the corner down the street to our house, I'd chase soccer balls up and down the field beating defenders with my speed, and I'd sprint around a track as fast as possible for fun. Running became my passion at a very young age, and it eventually led me to getting a scholarship to compete in track and field in college.

I spent Summer holidays and weeknights training, and I was always in a pair of running shoes. I've worn many brands and styles — some good, some a little questionable — but the shoe I swear by to this day is the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36 ($120).

The first time I wore the Pegasus, I was a freshman in college. Whether I was doing 200-meter repeats, highly dreaded 600-meter repeats, or mile-long runs, the Pegasus was my go-to. I don't compete anymore, but the Pegasus is still my favourite. It's supportive and lightweight, and it powers me through all my runs and everything else in between. I trained for my first half-marathon in it, I've sprinted and done agility work in it, and I've walked countless miles around New York City in it.

I own a bunch of running shoes that all serve a purpose, but if I had to pick one to wear for the rest of my life, it'd be the Pegasus. It's an all-around shoe that keeps my feet and joints feeling good, whether I'm doing a quick mile or 13.1 miles. I am a creature of habit and have been wearing the Pegasus for the past nine years, and I don't foresee that changing anytime soon.
