The Most Motivating Pieces of Advice 6 Fit Mums Have Shared on Instagram

30/04/2018 - 12:25 AM

Instagram is such a huge source of fitness inspiration; we scroll through motivational before-and-afters [1], get workout ideas [2] from our favourite accounts, and even find important nutritional information [3]. One thing I love about the fitness community on the social site is how open some of my favourite trainers [4] are about their journeys through pregnancy.

Whether you're a mum or not, there's so much to be learned from the fit mums of Instagram and their dedication to being their happiest and healthiest selves through and beyond pregnancy. If you're in need of a little reminder as to why you're dedicating time to being your best in and out of the gym, read on for motivating pieces of advice five of our favourite fit mums have shared on their feeds.

Revie Jane Schulz

"Give it time lovely, you will be able to embrace your body again. This is hard and its going to get harder but SO worth it. And damn girl, be proud of what you have done, you are amazing, be kinder to yourself!" — Revie Jane Schulz [5]

Massy Arias

"I am still practicing what I believe in : food is medicine and I don't deprive myself from any food groups. I just EAT WHOLE AND EAT WELL." — Massy Arias [6]

Emily Skye

"It's totally unrealistic for me to expect to 'bounce back' from having my beautiful big belly to a flat and lean tummy in a short amount of time. I choose to celebrate my body and how incredible it is in any condition, shape (or size) and I choose to focus on being my best mentally and physically for my daughter Mia — and my priority definitely isn't looking a certain way." — Emily Skye [7]

Tammy Hembrow

"It's so important to love yourself and your body at EVERY stage in your life. Every body is different, and you should never compare yourself to others. But if you give your body the love, exercise, and nutrition it deserves, you will reap the rewards." — Tammy Hembrow [8]

Kelsey Wells

"Be patient with yourself. Believe in yourself. Choose to view the world and your body with gratitude instead of criticism — and that will be the key to learning self love. And self love will be your key to healthy living." — Kelsey Wells [9]

Carina

"It's so important to set aside a small amount of time for yourself every day to do something just for you. It doesn't even have to be exercise - do whatever brings you joy, peace, satisfaction or just makes you laugh." — Carina [10]
