Your Jaw Will Drop When You Hear What Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady Eat on the Daily

The Patriots may not have won the Super Bowl on Feb. 4, but you can't deny that Tom Brady is in pretty amazing shape for a 40-year-old quarterback. He and his supermodel wife, Gisele Bündchen, 37 years old, are known around the world for being one of the hottest couples that ever did live. Another thing they're infamous for? Their insane diet. If you've ever wondered what the superstar couple eats on a daily basis to stay so healthy and glowing, wonder no more.

In an interview with, Allen Campbell, former personal chef for Tom and Gisele, spilled the beans on what he used to make for their family. Strap on your seat belts, because you're in for a wild ride.

"Eighty percent of what they eat is vegetables," Allen said. "[I buy] the freshest vegetables. If it's not organic, I don't use it. And whole grains: brown rice, quinoa, millet, beans. The other 20 percent is lean meats: grass-fed organic steak, duck every now and then, and chicken. As for fish, I mostly cook wild salmon."

So far, so good. But here's where it starts to get a little tricky. There's a list of foods that Tom and Gisele never eat on their mostly plant-based diet — and we mean never. "No white sugar. No white flour. No MSG," Allen explained. "I'll use raw olive oil, but I never cook with olive oil. I only cook with coconut oil. I use Himalayan pink salt as the sodium. I never use iodized salt." But wait, there's more.

"[Brady] doesn't eat nightshades, because they're not anti-inflammatory," he continued. "So no tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, or eggplants. Tomatoes trickle in every now and then, but just maybe once a month. I'm very cautious about tomatoes. They cause inflammation." And here's the last kicker: "What else? No coffee. No caffeine. No fungus. No dairy."

Is your jaw on the floor yet? If you're wondering what kind of food they indulge in when they want to splurge or have a cheat day, well, let's just say they have a different definition of a "cheat day."

"I've just did this quinoa dish with wilted greens. I use kale or Swiss chard or beet greens," Allen said. "I add garlic, toasted in coconut oil. And then some toasted almonds, or this cashew sauce with lime curry, lemongrass, and a little bit of ginger. That's just comfort food for them."

For Tom and Gisele, their bodies are pretty much their moneymakers, and it seems that sticking to this strict diet has done well for them. We're not sure if we could do it ourselves, but we certainly admire their dedication.
