What to Order at Starbucks to Save 250 Calories

This Easy Swap at Starbucks Saves You Over 250 Calories — and $2!

When the weather gets warm, it's tempting to order a delicious iced coffee beverage in the morning. But what you order at Starbucks can mean a difference of hundreds of calories. Luckily, you don't need to completely give up your favourite flavoured beverages when you're trying to lose weight.

As personal trainer Max Weber, NASM, ACE, (@maxweberfit) posted on Instagram, you can lighten your Starbucks order with a couple simple tweaks. If you're craving a vanilla coffee drink, don't order the venti iced vanilla latte, which is made with two percent milk and sugary vanilla syrup and clocks in at 270 calories, 10 grams of protein, 45 grams of carbs, and five grams of fat. Instead, opt for a venti iced coffee with sugar-free vanilla syrup for just five calories, zero grams of protein, one gram of carbs, and no fat. If you're looking to add protein to your morning coffee, you could always add a scoop of unflavoured collagen peptides for about nine to 10 grams of protein. Plus, you'll save nearly $2 on your order!

"The food and drink choices you make (or don't make) will have quite an impact on your fitness progress — like changes in bodyweight, how your clothes fit (or don't fit) and how you FEEL!" Max wrote in his caption. He goes on to say that while you can totally order the 270-calorie drink and still lose weight, at the end of the day, it's all about calories in and calories out; by making this simple swap each morning, you'll save thousands of calories a month, which could impact your weight-loss journey.

You can still enjoy a delicious vanilla coffee drink in the Summer — just be mindful of how you order it.
