Athletic Propulsion Labs, or APL, is known for its stylish sneakers and functional running shoes. Made in such eye-catching print designs as leopard print calf hair, black/metallic speckle, and bright racing yellow, the creative kicks have been filling your Instagram feed for several years now.
Although you can order your own pair on the company website, there are a few retailers that carry the brand: Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks, and Bloomingdale's. Now, the luxury department store Bergdorf Goodman will start carrying APLs as well. The company made the announcement on Instagram on March 26.
So far, Bergdorf's website has 11 different sneakers listed for sale, including the Techloom Pro Metallics, the Knit Mesh Lace-Ups, and the Techloom Phantom Haircalfs. The prices range from $140 to $250.
But APLs aren't just for looking cute in your favourite athleisure outfit; they're pretty solid for running and training, too. POPSUGAR Fitness Writer Dominique Astorino tried the Techloom Phantom Pros, and said they had a "nice, neutral stride" and were "pretty springy, light, and soft, but still had a controlled and stable feel." She recommended them for shorter runs and combination fitness classes such as Barry's Bootcamp.
Looking to snag a pair for yourself? Check out the APL collection on Bergdorf's website or, if you're in New York, swing by the store to try on a pair.
