I couldn't figure out if I slept funny or if the tightness in my neck was from a new upper-body workout I did the day before — whatever it was, just turning my head when driving was painful. So when I saw this four-minute routine for neck pain on TikTok from physical therapist Dr. Leada Malek [8], PT, DPT, CSCS, SCS, I thought, "what have I got to lose?" These stretching and mobility moves saved me, and I was shocked something that took barely any time offered so much relief.
You'll need a foam roller, a lacrosse ball, and a wall for these moves. There are six moves and you do them twice, each for 20 seconds. If this doesn't alleviate your neck pain, you have a more serious injury, or it's accompanied by arm weakness, numbness, or tingling, Dr. Malek told POPSUGAR to always get assessed by a professional. Stretching can only do so much!
