While many packaged granola bars contain tons of sugar and processed ingredients, Kate's Real Food bars [1] are made with a list of healthy, minimal ingredients. I was sent all of their flavours to try. With flavours like Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate and Mango Coconut, I couldn't wait to rip open the wrapper and take a bite. What Are the Ingredients in Kate's Real Food Bars?

While all eight bars are gluten-free, they're not vegan, since they contain honey. Seven of the eight flavours are also dairy-free except for the Peanut Butter Milk Chocolate flavour.

What 's the Nutritional Information of Kate's Real Food Bars?

These bars are 120 to 150 calories with zero cholesterol, and have 65 to 70 milligrams of sodium. Each offers two grams of fibre and three to four grams of protein.

I love that these are under 150 calories because sometimes you just need a little something to nosh on.

How Do Kate's Real Food Bars Taste?

The variety of flavour combinations of these Kate's Real Food bars are exactly what I crave in a granola bar. These bars taste subtly sweet, but aren't overpowering at all. The texture is very similar to the chewy crispiness of a Rice Krispies treat — seriously! But these are way better because they're heartier with the addition of dried fruit, coconut flakes, nuts, and seeds.

I enjoyed all the flavours, but my favourites were the Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate, the Peanut Butter Hemp & Flax, and the Dark Chocolate Cherry & Almond. Although, the Lemon Coconut and Mango Coconut were also deliciously fruity. Along with the delicious taste and crispy texture, these were really satisfying. They were perfect to nosh on after teaching my yoga class, when hiking, and just to keep in my car and purse for a quick snack. My family loves them, too!
