Before 2020, I could count on one hand the amount of times I had worked out at home on my own. I felt more motivated in a gym or group setting, and I was sure that without other people, I wouldn't try as hard. Well, then 2020 happened, and I was very happily proven wrong. I now exclusively work out at home, which I love so much, and I've had to buy a few pieces of workout equipment [1] to help me in my endeavours. Well, these are the 11 items I've found to be the most useful in my year of at-home fitness.
There are a few staples in this list, like ankle weights [2] and resistance bands, along with some more unique pieces and gadgets that I'd recommend to pretty much anyone. Keep on reading to shop my selects.
Fit Simplify Resistance Loop Exercise Bands
If you buy nothing else, buy these Fit Simplify Resistance Loop Exercise Bands [4] ($10). They're so useful and versatile; I use one almost every time I work out.
TRX All-In-One Suspension Training
The possibilities are endless with this TRX All-In-One Suspension Training [5] ($170) system. It's pretty easy to set up, and I use it all the time. This was definitely one of my best investments.
Theragun Prime
If you have sore muscles, or like to work out hard, you need this Theragun Prime [6] ($299) in your life. It is really so useful and will be a game changer for those tight knots you can't get out.
Bala Bangles
These Bala Bangles [7] ($49) were everywhere last year, and for good reason. I picked them up and love how easy they are to add on to any workout. They add the extra little burn I've been looking for, and they can be used on your ankles or wrists.
Bosu Balance Trainer
This Bosu Balance Trainer [8] ($120, originally $130) is amazing for, you guessed it, balance work. I love using it for abs and balancing in a plank.
P.volve Ultimate P.volve Package
If you're looking for an all-in-one set, this P.volve Ultimate P.volve Package [9] ($190) has been a game-changer for me. It consists of a set of hand weights, two sets of ankle weights, two resistance bands, gliders, and the method's proprietary P.ball and P.band. P.volve has been a workout I've returned to over and over again, but you can also use this equipment for other exercises, and truthfully, it's got everything covered.
Love Sweat Fitness 2-in-1 Foam Roller
If you're reading this, you probably need to foam roll. Yes, it might be painful in the moment, but the results are well worth it. I like this Love Sweat Fitness 2-in-1 Foam Roller [10] ($35).
The Step Original Aerobic Platform
This The Step Original Aerobic Platform [11] ($32, originally $50) is great to use along with workout videos, and so versatile.
Yes4All Speed Agility Ladder With Carry Bag
This Yes4All Speed Agility Ladder With Carry Bag [12] ($21) makes for a fun exercise to set up and do outside.
SPORTBIT Adjustable Jump Rope
Get in your cardio with this SPORTBIT Adjustable Jump Rope [13] ($9). You can use it on the go, or to warm up as well.
Pooboo Indoor Cycling Stationary Bike
This Pooboo Indoor Cycling Stationary Bike [14] ($330) is a great option if you're looking to spend just a couple hundred dollars, and is an awesome way to get your cardio in. Sounds like a win-win to me.
