Since lighting the Olympic cauldron [4] in Tokyo, Naomi Osaka [5]'s return to tennis has been the talk-of-the-town. And after her opening match win [6] viewers have been on the edge of their seats anticipating a medal winning finish. However, Osaka's Tokyo Olympic [7] run has come to a close after losing 6-1, 6-4 to Marketa Vondrousova from the Czech Republic [8] in the third round.

Her time at the Games cut short Osaka told press "I am glad I didn't lose in the first round, at least." Osaka maintained a positive outlook on her brief time competing in Tokyo, telling the press, "I am really glad to be here. I am sad I lost, of course, but all in all, I am really happy with my first Olympic experience." While this is the end of Osaka's current Olympic run, we're sure that she will return to the world stage in the near future.
