When it comes to shopping for workout leggings [1], fit is very important to me. Pants need to be the right length, have just the right amount of compression, and be mid- to high-waisted because that offers me the most amount of comfort. While shopping Old Navy's big fitness sale [2] recently I decided to give its popular High-Waisted Elevate Side-Pocket Mesh-Trim 7/8-Length Compression Leggings [3] ($24, originally $37) a try. The pants have four-way stretch so I knew I'd be pleased with its compression, and they're made with 15% spandex, too.
When the pants arrived I immediately put them on and appreciated how easily they slid on (sometimes I have to really tug at the thighs to get leggings on). I wore them for a cycling class at home and loved how easy it was to move — the four-way stretch really does give you that freedom you need. I do most of my workouts in the garage right now, and the mesh paneling helped stay a bit cooler than normal. Keep reading to learn what else I loved about them.
