Every Halloween as a vegan, I want to scream, "boo!" And not the scary Halloween "boo!" — I mean the really sad "boo," because most of the candy is made with milk. It's hard to get super excited about Skittles or Sour Patch kids. I do like to make my own version of dairy-free Reese's, but I haven't had a crispy, crunchy, peanut-buttery Butterfinger in years — until now. Danielle Brown, known as @healthygirlkitchen on TikTok, shared this quick and super-easy vegan recipe that's also gluten-free. As an added bonus, these are softer than the original, so you don't have to worry about them hurting your teeth!

This recipe is made with just four basic ingredients: cornflakes, peanut butter, maple syrup, and chocolate. For the melted chocolate coating, Brown told POPSUGAR she likes to use Enjoy Life chocolate chips or the ones from Trader Joe's (they're vegan!). And if you're truly gluten-free, go for the Nature's Path Fruit Juice Corn Flakes. If you don't have cornflakes, to change up the crispy factor, she suggested trying Rice Krispies or pretzels.
