Every Classic Reese's Shape Ranked From Best to Worst, Because Yes, They All Taste Different

There's a reason why it's the original: because it's damn near perfect. With a truly heavenly peanut butter-to-chocolate ratio with each bite, you simply can't go wrong with a simple cup. Shapes are fun, but you won't get the classic Reese's cup taste when you mess with perfection.

We'll admit it: the trees don't always exactly look like trees. However, it doesn't matter if they more closely resemble wiggly ovals than trees, because the peanut butter-to-chocolate ratio is nearly perfect with these. If you're the kind of person who thinks traditional Reese's cups skimp on the chocolate, then this one is for you.

Of all the Reese's holiday products, this one probably most clearly resembles the object it's supposed to be. Though a little too thin and unsubstantial to just eat one, they nevertheless boast a pretty good peanut butter-to-chocolate ratio, though we could use a bit more of both.

We don't think anyone has ever been disappointed to receive one of these in an Easter basket, but of all the holiday shapes, these are definitely the laziest — even the original cups have a little scalloped detailing! Like the hearts, they also tend to pack a bit too much peanut butter for our liking, but at least the outside shell is a bit thicker so you get a bit more milk chocolate per bite.

Reese's, we think you need a reminder as to what a heart looks like. Though this shape packs in a whole lot more creamy peanut butter per bite, it's almost — dare we say it? — *too* much peanut butter. Valentine's Day is supposed to be about eating too much chocolate, and this one won't give you nearly enough, as the chocolate feels more like a candy shell than a coating.

This one totally depends on whether or not you're into white chocolate, but ghosts are notably the only Reese's shape that comes exclusively in white (because, you know, ghosts). Unfortunately, the peanut butter looks a little too orange compared to the white chocolate shell, which is an unpleasant reminder that you're consuming an unnatural amount of sugar per bite. Also, white chocolate just doesn't compare to milk chocolate when paired with peanut butter.
