We can always count on Costco to have our back in truly dire situations. In need of an enormous lobster claw capable of feeding a small village? Costco's got you covered. Too lazy to gather all the separate ingredients necessary for Taco Tuesday? Never fear — Costco sells a nifty solution. Looking to catch a buzz and simultaneously beat the Summer heat in the most nostalgic way possible? Costco can satisfy those very specific desires with a new product: Claffey's alcoholic ice pops. The wholesale retailer recently began rolling out these adult-approved versions of Fla-Vor-Ice, offering packs of 12 for $18.
Not to be confused with the Skinny Freezer vodka ice pops also sold at Costco, Claffey's get their booziness from orange wine and come in six refreshingly fruity flavours: Ice Blue, Modern Mango, Purple Party, Cherry Lips, Punk Lemonade, and Grab Apple. Each tube of frozen, spiked goodness is just 90 calories and contains six percent ABV, which is comparable to a beer or half a glass of wine.
So far, Claffey's cocktail popsicles have only been spotted at a Costco located in Washington DC by Instagram user thecostcoconnoisseur, but we're crossing our fingers for nationwide availability before Summer officially arrives. If you don't live near a Costco, you can also score a box (or, like, seven) online through a handful of liquor stores that offer Claffey's. Looks like it's time to clear some space in our freezers!
