Disneyland's Halloween Treats Are Here, and OMG, the Pumpkin Cheesecake Is Amazing!

Disneyland does Halloween right, especially in the treats department. This year, there's an exciting mix of new creations (hi, Coco-themed dessert!) and returning favourites that you won't want to miss. While the Halloween food at Disney World includes an awesome poison-apple cupcake and candy-corn milkshake, the Anaheim parks' creative offerings are just as noteworthy. Between the food and the new Disneyland Halloween merchandise, you've got a lot of things to add to your must-see list. Take a look ahead at what's set to arrive at Disneyland and California Adventure in the coming weeks.

Coco Conchas

Coco fans won't want to miss this new concha (Mexican sweet bread) inspired by the Oscar-winning Pixar film. The bread is filled with dulce de leche, sprinkled with gold glitter dust, and topped with a smiling Miguel, which is made of white chocolate. Find it at Paradise Garden Grill in California Adventure.

Layered Pumpkin Cheesecake

This layered pumpkin cheesecake is the perfect treat to accompany a PSL during a Fall trip to Disneyland. The individually portioned cheesecakes are topped with spiced whipped cream and crystallized ginger. Grab one at Jolly Holiday Bakery.

Sweet Potato Hand Pies

These are like grown-up Pop-Tarts. Each hand pie has a buttery, flaky pie-crust dough with a sweet potato filling, an orange sugary glaze, and toasted marshmallows on top. You'll see these on the menu at Jolly Holiday Bakery.

Graveyard Chocolate Cupcakes

RIP to all other cupcakes. These have chocolate cake with dark chocolate mousse, chocolate cookie crumbs, and sprinkles. They're also available at Jolly Holiday Bakery.

Spoke-y Cone Macarons

Good news for the people who went crazy for last year's Spoke-y Cone Macarons: they were so popular, they're returning this year. Find the triangular macarons with marshmallow buttercream and candy corn at the Cosy Cone Motel in Cars Land.

Chocolate Bats

These bat-shaped chocolate sugar cookies have a hint of orange and black dark chocolate. The spooky treat is available on Buena Vista Street in California Adventure.

Haunted Mansion Cupcakes

Also available on Buena Vista Street are the new Haunted Mansion cupcakes. They're red velvet cupcakes with dark chocolate mousse, cream cheese frosting, and red chocolate "blood."

Villain-Themed High Tea

Halloween high tea is not new to Disneyland, but this year's villain theme is. At Steakhouse 55, guests can enjoy a whimsical take on a popular activity for tea-lovers. The creators of the menu put a lot of thought into each item, and it's a seriously fun experience.

If you want to add this to your schedule, plan ahead! The Halloween high-tea service is only available from noon until 3 p.m., Friday through Sunday, beginning Sept. 7.

Each snack on each tier is themed after a Disney villain. Say hello to Oogie Boogie and Queen of Hearts chocolate-covered strawberries.

Deciphering the villain-inspired food is especially fun. The roasted red pepper hummus sandwich with serrano ham? That's Scar from The Lion King, naturally. And the mini prime rib sandwich on toasted sourdough with cream of horseradish and Peppadew peppers is . . . good ol' Gaston.

There's obviously a Maleficent-inspired snack on the villain-centric menu. It's the green one with "horns": toasted pumpernickel bread with an edamame-avocado smash, sweet chili, bacon, and fried ruby red, a type of microgreen.

Perhaps the coolest one of all is the Ursula-themed deviled egg. The egg gets its colour from squid ink (!) and blueberry purée, and it's filled with beet purée mixed with the yolk. Topping it off is tobiko caviar and dried seaweed.

To round it all out with something sweet, the tea service offers a plate of maple-pecan and chocolate scones.
