It's official: Noel Fielding is hosting the Great British Bake Off. Here he is in all his crazed glory. He'll be taking on the title alongside "Cookery Queen" Prue Leith, panel show stalwart Sandy Toskvig, and OG baker Paul Hollywood as the show begins it's new life on Channel 4. And just like with the instantly iconic Oscars mix-up and J.K. Rowling and Piers Morgan's ongoing feud, Twitter had a few things to say about it. Let's get into that.
Immediately puns were made.

Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding for Bake-Off is an infinite improvement on Mel and Sue. There. I said it. #GBBO

Sandi Toksvig is just such a treasure and Prue Leith is a proper cook and British food stalwart. And adding Noel is a stroke of genius.

Others, not so much.

Sandi Toksvig for Bake Off makes total sense. Noel Fielding is a horrendous choice. He's Marmite. You don't put Marmite in cakes.

Some minds were even blown.

And let's face it, these tweets are probably quite accurate.
Noel fielding presenting #GBBO: "This cake looks like a funky melody trapped in a pringle can directed by geese, well done"

"Yeh that cake is a like a frog made of marmite spewing glitter on a planet made of spanners, well done Joyce!"

nobody wins the first new episode of GBBO because Noel Fielding is too busy making a summer house for squirrels out of wooden spoons
