Toffee Crunch, Mint Brownie, Strawberries & Cream, and Black Sesame
Macarons seem to keep finding new ways to delight us. Whether they come in unicorn form, as your favourite emoji, or have a magical Disney touch, these sweet, colourful treats never seem to get old. Currently seducing us in the same way as Milk Train Cafe, is bringer of heavenly desserts Yolkin. Born out of the idea of not wanting to waste the yolks when making macarons (that only require egg whites), Yolkin founder Sammie found a recipe to use them in ice cream. The next step in this delicious story? She sandwiched the two together. Salivating yet? Us too.
Sammie sells the sandwiches on weekends only between 12-4 p.m., currently trading in Covent Garden. Next time you're in London and not already in the queue for a Pizza Pilgrims dessert calzone, take a peep at Yolkin's Instagram to see where they're popping up. Read on for just some of the flavours that might just be waiting for you. We'll take a rocky road, two lemon meringues, and an Eton mess to go.
