We Can't Stop Laughing at These Chocolate-Covered-Strawberry Turkeys — Here's How to Make Them

25/11/2020 - 03:40 PM

When I picture a table of Thanksgiving desserts, there's usually things like apple, pecan, and pumpkin pie [1]. Something that's usually not on my radar? Chocolate-covered strawberries. But since I'm the type of person who thinks the more desserts the better, I'm not opposed to adding them into the Thanksgiving dessert rotation, especially when they look like little turkeys! This recipe by YouTuber Awesmr Pop [2] makes for the cutest (and most hilarious) Thanksgiving-themed dessert or snack [3].

While the chocolate-covered-strawberry turkeys are a pinch more tedious, they won't take nearly as long to make as pie would. Compared to traditional chocolate-dipped strawberries, this recipe requires just two extra steps. To get started, you'll need pretzel sticks, strawberries, marshmallows [4], and milk and white chocolate. Cut each marshmallow and pretzel stick in half, then poke the pretzels into the marshmallows. Using melted milk chocolate, make the turkey legs by glueing a marshmallow to each side of the strawberry. Let these sit in the fridge for a few minutes before dunking the full strawberry in chocolate. Fine details are everything, and the white chocolate on these turkeys make them extra special.

A mouthwatering combination of salty and sweet, these chocolate-covered-strawberry turkeys are a creative addition to the Thanksgiving table. If anything, they'll be the perfect conversation starter!
