Busy Phillips's Bloody Mary Recipe Includes a Secret Ingredient You Didn't See Coming

We're raising a glass to Busy Phillips after the Dawson's Creek star shared her must-make Bloody Mary recipe on Instagram. Her twist on the classic cocktail includes a secret ingredient that'll leave you (and your taste buds) in awe.

The actress went live on the social media platform to show fans her drool-worthy cocktail recipe, and not only was the drink good, but it was also for a good cause. Phillips partnered with Rao's Homemade for the second annual #Sauce4Cause which is an Instagram Live Cooking Series that benefits the non-profit Jersey Cares with a COVID-19 relief fund. As part of the #Sauce4Cause program, the marinara brand is committed to giving a total donation of up to $100,000 to Jersey Cares, and believe it or not, but Phillips's Bloody Mary includes the fan-favourite sauce!

Complete with the classic Worcestershire sauce, dash of horseradish, and splash of hot sauce, the star's recipe also includes a jar of Rao's Homemade marinara sauce that makes the drink that much more flavourful. Here's How to Make Busy Phillips's Bloody Mary Recipe

Ingredients

  1. ½ cup Rao's Homemade marinara sauce
    2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
    1 tablespoon horseradish
    2-3 dashes of hot sauce
    1 juiced lime, plus more for garnish
    1 tablespoon olive juice
    1 ½ oz vodka or tequila
    Grilled olives, celery, and multicolored carrots for garnish

Directions

  1. In a blender, combine Rao's Homemade Marinara or Arrabbiata Sauce, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, hot sauce, lime juice and olive juice, pulse until combined.
  2. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  3. Pour vodka (or tequila) and Bloody Mary mixture into glass. Stir.
  4. Garnish with olives, lime wedge, a celery stick, and multicolored carrots.
