Piña coladas are my absolute favourite cocktail. I don't care what time of year it is or where I am, if there's a piña colada on a restaurant or bar menu, I will order it, and I will enjoy it. Making these cocktails at home isn't something I do all that often, except in the summer when it feels seasonally appropriate. In my last batch of piña coladas, I decided to try something new and added GT's Golden Pineapple kombucha. I'm a fan of kombucha and this particular flavour is subtly pineapple, so it makes sense, right? And wow was it good.

The kombucha adds a bit of a kick — you know how kombucha tastes — but thanks to the coconut cream and the added pineapple juice, the cocktail still came out plenty sweet. This recipe is actually so incredibly easy to whip up and you can adjust the measurements to suit your taste as well. Happy drinking!

Kombucha Piña Colada

Pineapple Kombucha Piña Colada Recipe

Ingredients

  1. 1 ounce Malibu rum
    1 ounce pineapple juice
    1 ounce coconut cream
    2 ounces GT's Golden Pineapple Kombucha
    Ice
    Maraschino cherries
    Pineapple pieces

Directions

  1. Fill your glass with ice to see how much you need and then pour that in your blender.
  2. Pour rum, pineapple juice, coconut cream, and kombucha into the blender.
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Pour into glass and garnish with pineapple pieces and maraschino cherries.
