Starbucks is helping its customers find new ways to integrate more meat-free [1] options into their lifestyle with its first-ever Meatless Mondays campaign. Every Monday in January, customers can enjoy $2 off select vegetarian breakfast sandwiches and wraps including the Impossible Breakfast Sandwich, the Southwest Veggie Breakfast Wrap, and the Spinach, Feta & Egg Wrap at participating locations of the coffee chain in the United States. This is a great (and healthy!) way to not only kick-start your morning but to also sample some of Starbucks's newer menu items at a discounted price.

The campaign comes six months after Starbucks launched its first-ever plant-based breakfast sandwich and pledged to become a "resource positive company" [2] with a spotlight on plant-based foods [3] and beverages. "We are proud to have a history of offering customers products that meet their lifestyles and taste preferences — including a variety of meatless food choices and alternative non-dairy milks — and our new January Meatless Mondays offer [4] is another way we want to encourage customers to kick off the new year doing what's best for them," a Starbucks rep told VegNews.

To get the Meatless Mondays discount, orders cannot be customised or alternated (like no egg, for example) and must be placed in-store, online, or via the Starbucks app. While the new initiative may only highlight a small selection of its meatless menu, Starbucks has also been working diligently to offer its customers new plant-based drinks like the Honey Almond Milk Cold Brew and other upcoming dairy-free surprises [5] in 2021!
