Does this seem like an excessive amount of garlic? Uh, yeah. But when you taste a slice of this heavenly garlic bread, you'll realise why Cohen included that much of it. The flavours of the basil, crushed red pepper, and butter still come through all that garlic, and the garlic actually isn't overpowering at all. That's because each head is slow-roasted in the oven for an entire hour before being folded into the butter. As a result, the garlic is neither sharp nor pungent, but rather rich, creamy, savory, and all around perfect for garlic bread. Seriously, you have to try this for yourself.
