Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade Announce a New HGTV Special, and They're Taking Miami!

He's a 12-time NBA all-star, she's the former captain of the East Compton Clovers (Bring It On, duh), and together they are the power couple that is Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union. Now, the multifaceted duo are adding another accomplishment to their resumes: HGTV home renovators. The network recently announced that Gabrielle and Dwyane will put their love for real estate on full display in a 30-minute special called All-Star Flip.
On Thursday, April 12, the couple will "buy, overhaul, and flip a fixer upper in an up-and-coming Miami neighbourhood." Since being traded back to the Miami Heat after a two-season hiatus in Chicago and Cleveland, the Wade family is back in sunny Florida and cannot wait to give back to the city.
"Ever since we renovated our house a few years ago I've been a little real-estate obsessed," Gabrielle said in a press release. "It took a while, but I finally convinced Dwyane that we should try flipping a house." Dwyane added, "And we're doing it to raise money for charity, so how could I say no?"
HGTV filled us in on what we can expect on the upcoming special: "Gabrielle and Dwyane will join forces with their construction team to gut an outdated ranch house and add square footage and value to the property with a grand second-story master suite. They will transform the home into a sleek, modern showplace, and, in the end, the proceeds of the sale will go to a charity of the couple's choice."
While no one can quite replace Chip and Joanna Gaines and the beloved Fixer Upper series, we cannot wait to see what the Miami couple has in store.
