Whole Foods Has Opened the Home Decor Boutique of Your Nesting Dreams
Whole Foods is known for bringing some amazing and fresh food products to the market and boasts a killer wine selection, too, but now the company is launching a new venture at its Brightwater, NJ, store that enhances the shopping experience for its customers. Dubbed Plant & Plate, Whole Foods' store-within-a-store concept is a fun and boutique-like "lifestyle shop featuring a variety of home, beauty, and garden goods rooted in nature," according to the store's Instagram. It sounds like the perfect spot to pick up giftables, home goods, and locally made items!
"At Plant & Plate, we offer a variety of beauty, garden, and home goods, all rooted in nature. Featured products include Hedley & Bennett aprons, essential oils and barware along with local favourites like Beaucycled jewellery, floral crafts from Hoboken, and Brooklyn-based Apotheke candles. The shop also features pottery by Bridgewater's own Keiko Inouye," Genevieve Monette, whole body coordinator for the Northeast Region of Whole Foods, told POPSUGAR via email.
The store, Monette described, is designed to feel like someone's home, featuring a selection of goods curated with the brand's customers in mind. "Bringing in new items that are trending like handmade pottery, copper accessories, and seasonal home décor pieces, we are adding another layer to our customer's shopping experience. It's easy to stop into the shop and pick up a little gift for someone (or for yourself!) while on a regular trip to the grocery store," Monette explained.
Whole Foods' Plant & Plate section is currently only in this New Jersey location, but the already-growing popularity of the concept could mean one is on its way to you sooner rather than later. "When we came up with the Plant & Plate idea, Bridgewater was the next store opening on the horizon and we thought it'd be a great place to debut this new shop. It's been quite popular since we opened in March 2018. It's a brand new concept for us and we are excited to see where it lead us in future store designs and concept," Monette said.
