Andra Day won the Golden Globe for her titular role in Hulu's The United States vs. Billie Holiday and accepted the honour in a chic neutral-coloured room. Aaron Sorkin won the award for Best Screenplay, Motion Picture, for The Trial of the Chicago 7 at the 78th annual Golden Globes. He accepted the award with his family at home surrounded by guitars, intricate wall art, and neutral-coloured furniture.

Taylor Simone Ledward gave a tearful tribute to her late husband, Chadwick Boseman, at the 2021 Golden Globes.
