Want Your House to Smell Like Drake and Heartbreak? There'll Soon Be a Candle For That

If you had asked me yesterday what Drake smells like, I would have thrown out some stereotypical descriptors: champagne, cigars, wafts of a woman's perfume, introspection. It's now been brought to my attention, however, that Drake smells of musk, ambers, cashmere, suede, and velvet. And introspection.

Though he hasn't officially announced anything yet, the rapper and entrepreneur seems to be on the cusp of launching a candle company, Better World Fragrance House, with one candle possessing his signature scent. Drake first teased the brand on Instagram Stories in June, according to InStyle, and a mysterious, minimal website has now also popped up. There's also an Instagram account, which only follows Drake and a Drake-related news account, naturally.

Thankfully, there's more intel out there: a sneak peek quietly being offered on Revolve revealed that the candles were developed with perfumer Michael Carby, and they're expected to launch this holiday season. The five candles listed, but not yet for sale, are: Good Thoughts, Sweeter Tings, Williamsburg Sleepover, Muskoka, and Carby Musk. That last one is apparently the one that "actually smells like Drake." The description also states, "Smooth musk fragrance is introspective as in an interpretation of your beautiful self, yet extrovertive [sic] as how you would want others to see your bold and brilliant self." (Whatever that means.) At $80, Carby Musk is also the most expensive of the bunch, with the other four candles priced at $45.

Stay tuned for more updates about this truly unexpected business endeavour.
