An Interior Design Site Reimagined Friends Characters' Homes Today, and We Love Emma's Dorm Room!

In anticipation of the Friends reunion special coming to HBO (date TBD), interior design startup Modsy has given us something to ponder: what do our favourite characters' homes look like today? Are Monica and Chandler happy in upstate New York? Is Phoebe still not buying furniture from chain retailers? What does Ross and Rachel's home like? Where is Emma? Does Joey have a bachelor pad? There are so many questions, and until the reunion special airs, it's up to our imaginations to figure it out. Luckily, Modsy has helped us connect the dots by recreating our favourite friends' pads, and they even dreamt up Emma's dorm room (yes, she'd be in college by now) as a bonus. Our favourite smooth-talking "How you doin'?" character appears to still be living in Greenwich Village — in fact, he's right across the hall in Monica's old apartment! Of course, he's done it up with some new paint, and let's not ignore his gallery wall featuring him on the cover of Soap Opera Digest. It appears Joey's (finally) ditched his recliner, however, the director's chair still stands, and Hugsy has even made an appearance! Monica and Chandler's upstate home represents Monica's neat, clean, and traditional style. The symmetrical home is set up for guests, with three couches for hosting friends and family. The colour scheme, which complements her iconic vintage Jouets poster in the bookshelf, keeps the home lively. Phoebe left NYC for the countryside, and her cosy cottage is an accurate representation of her personality. While nothing was purchased from Pottery Barn, Phoebe did opt for a few new items to go alongside her antique chair and dresser. As you can see from the guitar in the background, the "Smelly Cat" artist is still coming up with new jingles to play at her local coffee shop.
