Happiness is a wonderful feeling and something that we strive to feel as much as we can, but some of the best kinds of happiness are when we make others feel happy. Think of when you give someone the perfect gift and their eyes light up; they simply radiate happiness! Or, when you do an act of kindness and not only is the recipient grateful, but you can see in their smile that you've made them truly happy.

For some people, making other people happy is more important than their own happiness, like mothers and fathers who will do anything in their power to make their children happy, even when their children are all grown-up.

If you have a lot of empathy for other people and feel their emotions as deeply as your own, you may seek to do whatever you can to make them feel joyous and hopeful.

If you celebrate Christmas, your celebration may not be complete until you've made your loved ones happy, especially if there are children involved. Who doesn't appreciate the sight and sound of a happy child? Childhood should be as happy as it possibly can be, and if we can help ensure that happiness, we feel better about ourselves.

Making others feel happy isn't only about giving them material items; it can be about gestures and acts of caring — showing someone kindness and compassion can certainly lead to happiness.

Wanting your partner to be happy can sometimes overshadow your own happiness, and there are times you must sacrifice your happiness for theirs. However, you can focus on their happiness to the detriment of your own life. You don't want to harm yourself to make someone else happy.

Since humans are often contradictory and mysterious, they can be challenging to figure out, especially the small things that you'd never suspect would make them happy.

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

Your partner gets superhappy when they're multitasking. They also love it when they take a risk and it pays off big time for them. And what's their not-so-secret way to get happy? Winning! But if you love an Aries, you already know this.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

You know when you get into bed and your sheets have that special freshly washed smell, the pillows are fluffed, and everything is so comfortable and luxurious that you know you're going to have the best sleep of your life? Well, that's the special combination that makes your Taurus happy.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

A Gemini gets very happy when they're talking to someone and they just click. They love being on the same wavelength as someone else, and they get excited about sharing information and opinions. Geminis love connecting through communication.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)
