Italians Are Singing During Coronavirus Lockdown | Video

Italians Under Quarantine Create a Bright Spot by Singing to Each Other Across Balconies

During a time of "social distancing," Italians are creating ways to connect through music. Many individuals find themselves quarantined in their homes as a result of coronavirus (COVID-19), but that won't keep communities from forging a bond across balconies. Recently, people in Italy — who have been on lockdown since March 9 — created their own "flash mobs" where they stand outside their apartments and sing or play instruments.

Videos of the musical moments are gaining popularity across social media, supplying a glimmer of hope and boosting morale. "Italians are really good at celebrating life even in hardest of circumstances," one Twitter user wrote. Ahead, see a few of the clips for yourself and bask in this bright spot.
