Watch the Stirring Trailer For Michelle Obama's Upcoming YouTube Special on Girls' Education
Michelle Obama is continuing her mission to draw attention to the education of adolescent girls around the globe. Timed with Women's History Month, the former first lady and her Girls Opportunity Alliance partnered with YouTube on Creators for Change on Girls' Education, which will be the first instalment in an ongoing learning series on the video platform. "This is about creating a balanced and effective society," Obama said in a stirring trailer. "You only do that if you're investing in all of it."

The special was predominantly filmed in various countries where girls are currently benefiting from educational programs supported by the Girls Opportunity Alliance. For example, viewers will follow Obama on a trip to Vietnam to meet with students of the Room to Read nonprofit organisation, which focuses on literacy. On that particular trip, Obama was joined by Julia Roberts, Lana Condor, Jenna Bush Hager, Ngô Thanh Vân, and Liza Koshy.
The special will also feature a roundtable with the following prominent YouTube bloggers: Prajakta Koli, who is outspoken about mental health and cyberbullying on her channel, MostlySane; Thembe Mahlaba, who is part of the team behind Pap Culture, a storytelling space shedding light on African youth culture; and the aforementioned Koshy, who continues to create original content on her eponymous channel while growing her acting career. Koshy is also a co-chair of Obama's When We All Vote initiative.
"As young creators, as young leaders, you guys are gonna be the change agents," Obama told the group during their discussion. She added, "I'm gonna be sitting in my wheelchair: 'Look at them!'" Watch the trailer above before the special hits YouTube soon.
