Orange Creamsicle Smoothie Bowl

As with all smoothies, this recipe can be customized based on your preferences and dietary needs. For a thicker smoothie, skip the orange juice or add more frozen pineapple. You can also freeze the orange wedges before adding them to the blender. For a thinner smoothie, add more orange juice or use less frozen fruit. Want a dairy-free version? Use your favorite non-dairy yogurt.
Ingredients
- 2 oranges, peeled
2 cups frozen pineapple, diced
1/3 cup plain or vanilla yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
1/4 cup orange juice
Sliced oranges, for topping
Sliced bananas, for topping
Granola
Chia seeds
Hemp seeds
Shredded coconut or coconut flakes
Orange zest
Directions
- In a blender, combine the oranges, pineapple, yogurt, vanilla extract, and maple syrup.
- Blend until combined.
- While the blender is running, slowly add orange juice to thin the smoothie's consistency.
- Pour the smoothie into one or two bowls. The number of servings will depend on the size of your bowls.
- Top with sliced oranges, sliced bananas, hemp seeds, chia seeds, shredded coconut, granola, and/or orange zest.
- Enjoy!
