8-Year-Old Girl From Japan Playing Led Zeppelin on Drums

Your Jaw Will Hit the Floor Watching This 8-Year-Old Nail 1 of the Hardest Led Zeppelin Songs on Drums

Hold onto your jaws, folks, because they're about to hit the floor.

In a video that is now going viral, 8-year-old Yoyoka Soma from Japan, who entered the 2018 "Hit Like a Girl" drum contest, can be seen absolutely slaying on the drums as she performs a cover of Led Zeppelin's 1969 hit song, "Good Times Bad Times." The song features a seriously complicated drum part performed by the late John Bonham, and Yoyoka's cover was so spot-on that even Led Zeppelin front-man Robert Plant was impressed.

On an episode of the CBC Radio show, Q, Plant watched the girl's contest video and was floored by it in every way. He even noted that she made it look easy! "It's like falling off a log for her. I know where she can get a good job!, he says. "That's amazing, isn't it, really? . . . Let's face it, John's right foot is just the most spectacular right foot in the history of popular music in the last 60 years, I think, because he bothered to play those links with the bass drum — he didn't have to do that."

And those links of John Bonham's he refers to? Yoyoka crushes them with her little 8-year-old foot. So much so that the late drummer probably would have been as astonished by her talent as we all are, if not more so.

In a statement attached to her contest entry, Yoyoka said, "My dream is to be the best drummer in the world" — and we'd argue she's well on her way there already. Check out Yoyoka's official contest entry video below, as well as the video of Robert Plant watching her play, and prepare to lose your mind.
