These Adult-Only Disney Cruise Line Activities are Practically Perfect in Every Way

12/04/2019 - 05:20 PM

When you think of Disney Cruise Line [1], you're probably stirring up images of Mickey and his friends walking around the ship greeting guests, kids ooh-ing and ahh-ing around every corner, and endless amounts of food! While all of that is definitely true (and a lot of fun), there's tons of magic in store for adults who are travelling with their kids and maybe want a little break, or adults who are cruising sans little ones.

On any Disney Cruise Line [2] ship, those over 18 can find spaces just for them to relax and soak in the magical atmosphere. From highly themed nightclubs to an ultrarelaxing spa and adults-only beaches on Disney's private island, grown-ups are in for a holiday they won't soon forget. Leave the kids at the Oceaneer's Club [3], and check out all of the fun that awaits the young at heart when sailing on Disney Cruise Line.

Adult District — Disney Wonder

The Azure bar is located in After Hours district on the Disney Wonder [4]. This space is great for dancing the night away after putting kids to sleep in your stateroom.

Adult District — Disney Magic

The Disney Magic has an After Hours District as well, but their main entertainment space is called Fathoms. This is where adults can watch game-show-type quizzes and play trivia all night long.

Adult District — Disney Dream

For a truly unique experience each night, adults are going to want to check out the Skyline Lounge in Europa on the Disney Dream [5]. This lounge uses technology and a bit of Disney magic to make a different famous skyline appear every 15 minutes. Travel to France and England without ever leaving the ship.

Entertainment and Shows

Each night on all four Disney Cruise Line ships [6], the adults district comes alive with dance parties, shows, and live music. And the best part is, after 9 p.m., no one under 18 is allowed in the district!

Remy

On the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream ships, Remy is also available for adults-only dining. Remy is typically only open for dinner, and there's a strict dress code guests are required to follow. This French-inspired meal is an exquisite experience to top off your Disney Cruise Line holiday.

Meridian Bar

Located near Remy and Palo on each ship, the Meridian Bar brings the charm of transatlantic travel. Meridian has one of the best views on the ship with windows all of the way around the space and outdoor seating for even more picturesque views.

Senses Spa

Each Disney Cruise Line ship [7] has a Senses Spa. This is where adults can take a spin class or get in a workout, enjoy a couples massage, and soak in the quiet serenity of the spa.

Rain Forest Room

Adults can also buy a day pass to the Rain Forest Room inside the Senses Spa. This space combines water and aromatherapy [8] for a unique, relaxing experience. Guests can also enjoy two dry saunas, heated lounge chairs, and a hot tub to seriously unwind.

Cabanas at Serenity Bay

At Serenity Bay, adults can rent a beach cabana. These cute private spaces come with their own loungers and hammocks and unobstructed views of the ocean. It's highly advised to book these before embarking on your holiday [9].

British-Style Pub Quiz

Inside O'Gills Pub a few times each day, there are British-style pub quizzes. The theme of each quiz can be found in the Disney Cruise Line Personal Navigator. The winner of each quiz even receives a prize!

Mixology Class

Just like the wine tastings and wine pairings, mixology classes are a fun opportunity for adults to learn something and have a few delicious libations. It's suggested that you register for the classes before embarking or early on in your voyage [10] for a guaranteed spot.
