Anne Hathaway Kneels to Talk to Her Son Like Kate Middleton

The "Cool" Parenting Technique Anne Hathaway Has Borrowed From Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton and Prince William are known for a very specific parenting technique that they're constantly photographed utilizing: they kneel down to talk to their kids so that they can look into their eyes and encourage them to communicate without feeling literally or figuratively small. The tactic comes in handy whether Kate is trying to diffuse a toddler tantrum or William wants to share a moment with one of his kids during an event, and we can now add Anne Hathaway to the list of famous parents who have found the technique to be a good one.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, the 36-year-old mum of one shared that she's adopted this parenting technique with her nearly 2-year-old son, Jonathan. "They get down on the child's level and speak to them eye to eye to make their child feel empowered," Anne said of the Duke and Duchess's parenting tactic. "I thought that was really cool. I started doing that with Jonathan."

Although Anne doesn't typically share photos of Jonathan, see the technique in action in the photos ahead of Kate and William with George and Charlotte (and we're sure once Prince Louis is a bit bigger, we'll see him in photos like these, too!).
