Vilma Wong, a NICU nurse [1] at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital [2] in Palo Alto, CA, is certainly good with names. In fact, she has such a good memory she recognised Brandon Seminatore's name — a patient she treated 28 years ago in the NICU — on the list of rounds at the hospital one morning. Sure enough, after asking Brandon a few questions, Vilma confirmed that she treated the second-year pediatric neurology resident [3] nearly 30 years ago in the neonatal unit.

After realising the pair's history, the hospital shared a now-viral side-by-side photo [4] of Brandon and Vilma on Facebook, and people immediately swarmed the comments section.

"A chance encounter at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford has led to a heartwarming reunion between nurse and patient," said the post. "Brandon, one of our pediatric residents, was born 28 years ago in our NICU — then just 29 weeks old. Vilma was his primary care nurse. Fast forward nearly 30 years, and Vilma recognised Brandon's name while he was rounding at our hospital. What a memory! Here's a special look at them both then and now."
