No one is questioning the amazingness of Disney and all of its parks. It's called the happiest place on earth for a reason, and with the recent opening of the new Toy Story Land, it's rightfully earned its magical stripes. But sometimes you might want to spread your wings and experience other places (or save some money and hit up some less expensive places). Scattered across the country are numerous theme parks, each one with something special to offer you and your family. Some are great for older kids while others perfectly blend attractions for all ages. But no matter what, they all look like so much fun! 1. Busch Gardens Williamsburg in James City County, Virginia

Designed around various European cities, Busch Gardens Williamsburg lets you explore other cultures without having to get a passport. Besides getting a taste of the old country, Busch Gardens is known for their wild rides, so buckle up!

2. Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California

While there are multiple locations across the country, Six Flags Magic Mountain continues to thrill over 45 years since it first opened. Close to Los Angeles, Magic Mountain has the most roller coasters of any amusement park in the world.

3. Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California

Holding the prestigious title as America's first theme park, Knott's Berry Farm is fun for all ages. Big kids will love the roller coasters while the little ones can explore the smaller rides and the Old West ghost town.

4. Legoland California in Carlsbad, California

Big and small kids alike love to play with Legos. Little kids will have a ball hunting for dinosaurs on Explorer Island and checking out DUPLO Playtown, and the bigger siblings (and mom and dad, too) will go crazy for the roller coasters and building competitions.

5. Sesame Place in Middletown Township, Pennsylvania

Sesame Place, the theme park modelled around the long-running TV show Sesame Street, is a little kid's dream come true. Open May through December, your little ones can meet their heroes while enjoying a variety of rides, shows, and water attractions.

6. Michigan Adventure in Muskegon, Michigan

The "mitten state's" largest amusement park is really something to behold. With 53 rides, a neighbouring water park, and fast line queuing, Michigan Adventure is well worth the trip up north.

7. Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio

Claiming to be the "roller coaster capital of the world," Cedar Point is the place to go for thrill seekers. There are an impressive 72 rides at the park, meaning there is no way you can see everything in just one day.

Yes, Hersheypark is founded by the same company that makes all those delicious treats we love. But the chocolate isn't the only thing to go crazy for at this theme park, as it has nearly 80 rides and attractions, many of them friendly for all ages. Oh, and there's also a zoo!
